What is Tang Soo Do?

Tang Soo Do is an ancient martial art, which originated 2000 years ago in Korea. Tang Soo Do is a method of empty hand, foot, and weapon fighting based on scientific use of the body in self-defense. Tang Soo Do is based on the principles of yielding, circular motion and penetration. As a student you will learn to use your hands and feet in such a manner as to simulate actual combat with an armed or unarmed opponent. The techniques and philosophy are taught as they were in ancient times, although the system has adjusted to the modern lifestyle. Most of all, Tang Soo Do is designed to develop individual character, mental strength, integrity, and respect for other.

We stress physical and mental growth. Tang Soo Do goes beyond self-defense – it concentrates on the whole person. We build traits that will serve the student well in school and later in his/her adult life. Martial art as it is taught at Y.T. Tang Soo Do is an excellent supplement to a student’s formal education. We encourage our student to study hard at school while monitoring their academic grades and progress.

How often should I train?

Students normally attend two or three regular classes per week. Discuss your class schedule with your instructor.

How much does it cost?

Compared to other professional services, our Tang Soo Do lessons are extremely reasonable. Currently, the month-to-month tuition is $100.00 per month. The actual monthly tuition decreases with the length of your commitment. We offer discounts for additional family members.

Do I have to sign a contract?

NO contracts are required or offered. We teach ONLY those who wish to be here!
